Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has revealed that no arrests have been made so far in connection with the recent deadly attack in Jos, despite ongoing investigations by security agencies. He, however, assured residents that authorities are working with “actionable intelligence” and are actively tracking those responsible.

The governor described the attack as well-planned and professionally executed, noting that both residents and security personnel were caught off guard. According to him, the attackers disguised their operation in a way that initially made it seem like a routine security raid, allowing them to strike before people realised what was happening.

Mutfwang urged residents to remain calm and avoid reprisals, warning that the attackers’ goal was to destabilise the state and incite further violence. He promised that once arrests are made, those responsible will be prosecuted, stressing that justice will not be compromised as efforts continue to restore peace in Plateau State.
