President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s top security chiefs to hunt down those responsible for the recent killings in Plateau State, following the deadly attack in Jos that left dozens of people dead. The directive was issued during a town hall meeting with stakeholders in Jos, where the President strongly condemned the violence and ordered immediate action to prevent further attacks. 
As part of new security measures, Tinubu also approved the deployment of 5,000 CCTV cameras across Plateau State to strengthen surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response to threats. The initiative is aimed at improving real-time monitoring and helping security agencies track criminal activities more effectively in vulnerable areas. 
The President’s visit comes in response to the Angwan Rukuba attack in Jos North, which reportedly claimed over 28 lives and triggered national outrage. Tinubu assured residents that his administration is committed to restoring peace, stressing that those behind the attacks will be brought to justice while efforts are intensified to secure the state and prevent future violence.
