Wike Inspects Projects, Slams Bauchi Governor Over PDP Crisis Claims
\n\nMinister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has inspected ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja while criticising Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed over his comments on the crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). During the inspection, Wike reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring timely completion of key projects, stressing that contractors must meet deadlines and deliver quality work across the Federal Capital Territory.

While addressing journalists, Wike dismissed claims by Bala Mohammed regarding the root of the PDP’s internal crisis, insisting that such narratives were misleading. He maintained that the party’s challenges stem from internal disagreements and power struggles rather than the interpretations being pushed by some leaders. The FCT minister also emphasised that there is only one recognised PDP structure, rejecting suggestions of factional legitimacy.

The exchange highlights deepening divisions within the PDP as the party grapples with defections, leadership disputes, and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections. Political observers say the public disagreement between key figures like Wike and Bala Mohammed reflects broader tensions that could shape the party’s future direction and electoral strength if not resolved.
