\n\nAn aide to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has sparked a fresh drama online after criticising Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh for hugging her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, at their son’s 10th birthday celebration in Abuja.
The actress and Churchill reportedly came together to celebrate their son King Andre’s big day in a football-themed party attended by family and friends. During the event, Tonto was seen hugging Churchill — a moment that quickly drew attention on social media.
In a post on his Facebook and X pages, Ossai Ovie Success said he was disappointed in Tonto’s action. He argued that hugging her former husband in that way was not right, especially because Churchill is now married to Rosy Meurer and Tonto should have shown more respect for Rosy’s feelings.
The governor’s aide wrote that the gesture was “unfair to Rosy Meurer”, adding that Tonto should have considered the situation before displaying affection with her ex.
The comments have sparked a heated debate online, with many Nigerians sharing their views. Some defended Tonto, pointing out that the hug was simply between co-parents and that she was only showing affection to the father of her child. Others supported Ossai’s view or sided with Rosy Meurer because of her current marriage to Churchill.
