Sporting Lagos came from behind to defeat Enyimba 3-2 on Wednesday, handing the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions their fourth consecutive defeat of the season.
Enyimba took control shortly before half-time when Stanley Dimgba opened the scoring in the 44th minute. Sporting Lagos responded after the break, with Abdullahi equalising in the 51st minute.
Enyimba regained the lead just three minutes later when Tobi Iyanda converted from the penalty spot, but Sporting Lagos produced another strong response.
Haruna Hadi levelled the match in the 65th minute before Daniel Aboh completed the comeback four minutes later, giving Sporting Lagos a 3-2 victory.
The result leaves Enyimba at the bottom of the NPFL table after four matches, with the club enduring a difficult start to the new campaign. Sporting Lagos, meanwhile, moved into mid-table after recording their second victory of the season.
Elsewhere, Barau defeated Abia Warriors 2-0 in Kano to remain unbeaten after five matches. Joseph Atule and Ibrahim Ayoola scored for Barau, who moved to the top of the table.
Doma United dropped points after a 2-2 draw with Plateau United, while Kano Pillars and Inter Lagos also shared the points following a 1-1 draw in Lagos.
