President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has projected that shares of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery could rise from their current offer price of ₦525 to as much as ₦10,000 in the future. Speaking about the refinery’s Initial Public Offering, Dangote encouraged Nigerians to invest in the company, saying those who hold their shares could benefit significantly from future growth in the business.Dangote assured small-scale investors that they would be prioritised in the allocation of shares during the public offering. He also highlighted the potential benefits of receiving dividends in foreign currency, particularly for Nigerians with financial obligations abroad. According to him, dollar-linked returns could help investors manage the effects of naira depreciation and reduce the impact of exchange-rate fluctuations on expenses such as overseas education.The Dangote Refinery IPO comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 each, with the offer expected to raise approximately ₦2.15tn if fully subscribed. The minimum subscription is 10 shares, costing ₦5,250, while the offer is scheduled to run from September 14 to October 13, 2026. The company plans to use funds raised through the offering to support its expansion ambitions, including increasing refining capacity and strengthening its position in the energy sector.
